Java 7 Mac Download Lion

Mac
When Oracle put out a newer update, Apple again remotely blocked it from being used on OSX version 10.8.2 It looks like we will not be able to use GeoGebra on Apple if it uses Java. It anyone had a workaround I would like to hear about it. I tried downloading JRE-7u13 today with no luck.

Our website provides a free download of Java SE Runtime Environment 7 1.7 for Mac. The program lies within Developer Tools, more precisely General. This free software for Mac OS X was originally produced by Oracle Corporation. Our antivirus scan shows that this Mac download is clean. OpenJDK 7 for OS X Lion is based on OpenJDK sources. This solutions aims at delivering for Java enthusiasts and / or developers a working version of the next Java release for their Apple Mac. Download latest (newest) and older versions of free software. OldApps is the largest software archive. Safe and fast downloads for Windows, Mac and Linux apps. Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) (Intel) Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard (Intel) Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger (Intel) Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) (Intel).

If you install the Oracle Java JDK (jdk-7u13-macosx-x64.dmg) and try to run GeoGebra, the system will ask you to install Java 6 but in fact it does not install Java 6, it only fix some links in the system and remove the old Java files

Any Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.7.3 (Lion) or later. Administrator privileges. Note that installing the JDK on a Mac is performed on a system wide basis, for all users, and administrator privileges are required.

The Java preference app located in /Application/Utilities has been removed and there's no Java 6 installed on my machine. So the installer probably detect that Java 7 JDK is already installed and just clean up the system.

Though you probably need to install the JDK and not just the JRE, you'll find it there:

GeoGebra run fine under Java 7 on OSX 10.8.2 :D

Tried using the JDK download. Did not work with my apps. No request to install Java 6, just a message stating

Unable to launch the application. Under 'Details' the message

The application has requested a version of JRE (version 1.6 1.5 1.4+) that is not installed.

This is correct since Apple removed it.

In the terminal: java -version shows

java version '1.7.0_13'

Java

This is a major pain since two of my most used applications no longer work.
